Kuwait Sharia Criteria Index |
| |
It is a weighable index and it was launched on 24th June, 2002 and it tracked the total movment of all the compliant companies with the approved Sharia criteria by the Sharia Control Board of Madar Finance & Investment Company which are listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange. The index constituents change according to the periodic review quarterly. |

Presently, this index comprises the best ten companies in terms of trading volume and these companies are selected after conducting the quarterly review of the Kuwait Sharia Criteria Index – the general index. According to the results of the review, then the highest ten consistent companies in terms of trading amount, for a period of twelve months as from the date of the last review, bearing in mind that this index does not take into consideration the total return of the companies which it contains. |

Kuwait Stock Exchange Sector Index: |

After Al-Madar Finance & Investment Company issued the first index in Kuwait that tracked the movement of Sharia compliant companies as well as the success and good reaction received by this index among the different investment categories, the company has worked towards issuing financial indexes that cover the overall stock exchange sector so as to enable investors and interested companies in such classes to assess their investments not only on the basis of the total performance of the compliant companies but also in a divided way in the form of sectors. Companies will be distributed according to the sector to which every company is belonged. So, after conducting the necessary periodic review for the listed companies in the stock exchange, those companies which are in line with the Islamic Sharia criteria will be selected; and according to the results of the review, the companies will be distributed in terms of weight in every sector. |
